To date, Bryan Singer and John Orloff’s BSG project is still on the burner. Orloff stated last year in a comment to HitFix that he and Singer have a deep affinity and respect for the Larson version but that the new movie “will not conflict with anything Ron Moore has done.”
While I am excited about any new BSG project and eagerly awaiting the airing of B&C and hoping against hope that that will make it to series; the Singer and Orloff project is raising some questions in my mind. What is it? Will it be a re re-envisioned examination of the exodus from the 12 Colonies or a fresh look at the first circle and the exodus from Kobol? Just what part of the BSG universe will the movie be set?
Will it respect the heart of Larson and the brutally honest and human characters of Moore?
The biggest question is what do the fans want – what do you want to see in the film?
